I contributed the 2D facial animation to this.

Produced by Flaunt Productions, Glasgow. Designed and directed by Stephen Donnely. Animated by me.

The EAAA charity approached me to help devise a viral campaign for their charity.

The aim was to get the message across that they depend on the generosity of the local public to fund this much needed air ambulance.

Once the basic premise was finalised they gave me free reign to design the look and feel of the ad. Which was very liberating and great fun.

I made this promo video for my band The Bluetones in the Spring/Summer 2010 for the single “Golden Soul” from our 6th studio album “A New Athens”.

It’s all done in Flash, and edited/compiled in After Effects.

This was my first paid job of animation work. 6 x 30 second scenarios involving this endearing little character designed by Stuart Langfield, produced by Flaunt Productions, Glasgow. They were cut into a BBC Scotland daytime educational programme “Food Stuff” all about attitudes towards food.

This was my personal favourite scenario.

My third attempt at a short animation. My first using flash. This was put together in the first hour of every weekday during my very busy 5 month placement at Edinburgh’s Red Kite Animations.

This 30 second “ident” was the training task that I was set during my 5 month placement at Glasgow based Animation/VFX/Moton Graphics studio Once Were Farmers. Many thanks to Will, Rory, Martin, Rob, Dave, et al for their patient and valuable tutelage/guidance.

Hand-drawn on lined paper, photographed with a cheapo digital camera, compiled in iMovie, and later tweaked in after effects.

This was the short I made to accompany my G.A.S.P. (Generating Animation Skills Programme) application and interview.

Needless to say I was a successful applicant! (smug grin).
